Giorgio Micco (b. 1989) lives and works in Alba, Italy.
He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice and the Willem de Kooning Academy in Rotterdam.
His practice engages with some of the most relevant and urgent critical issues surrounding the pictorial medium, particularly in relation to ecological and technological concerns in contemporary discourse. In addition to painting, he works with drawing, monotypes, digital printing, publications, and lightboxes — media that interact with and help redefine the gallery space.
He has exhibited in numerous group shows and has taken part in initiatives and residency programs at art institutions in Italy and abroad, including in the Netherlands, the UK, Germany, and Switzerland.
